LEARN-TO-PLAY TIMES FOR THIS WEEKEND:
MITE C TRYOUTS:
Players expected to tryout for Mite C are those Advanced Instructional players who tried out for the Mite A / Mite B teams in the Spring but were not placed on either roster and / or players who played at the Advanced Instructional for at least one full season.
Be advised, the Mite C team is a Travel team; the schedule is more demanding and expectations for skill advancement and attendance are greater than with the Advanced Instructional / Learn To Play program. If you have any questions about whether or not your child should try out for the Mite C team, please ask one of the coaches this coming Saturday; ask to speak to Jim Queenan, Kevin Van Gordon or Jacques Laflamme.
The Tuition for the 2014 – 2015 Mite C season is $675. Should your child make the team, any previous payments you have made for the 2014-2015 season (Advanced Instructional) will be applied to your Mite C balance.
On Sunday, SEPTEMBER 28th, we will still be holding the Learn To Play session earlier in the day (3:10pm – 4:10pm). This session is optional for those trying out for the Mite C team.
The NRI Vikings and Woonsocket North Stars will be conducting a Goalie Skills session on Friday, September 19th 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Smithfield Ice Rink. The clinic will be run by Brian Ekland from Crease Goaltending School in Massachusetts. Brian Eklund is a retired professional hockey goaltender who played with the Tampa Bay Lighting; in addition to running Mass. Crease Goaltending School, he is the assistant coach for Brown University Bears. This is the first in a series of goalie clinics that will be offered to NRI Vikings and Woonsocket North Star goalies periodically throughout the 2014 - 2015 season.
The Goalie Skills session is open to all NRI Viking's rostered goalies, it is strongly recommended that all NRI goalies attend.
Any questions please feel free to contact Cindy Baumann via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (401)215-6310
